December 2018 YEAR END UPDATE AND CHRISTMAS GREETING.
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our soon coming King, who was and is and is to come. He is the same yesterday today and forever….
I pray you are all well and rejoicing in the Lord and remembering
JESUS IS THE REASON FOR IT ALL
It has been an eventful and challenging but a blessed year.
Below I share how gracious the Lord has been and has seen us through.
*We lost two volunteers at the prison last December, however we are very thankful for the time they committed to share with the men in the prison they are missed by us and the guys.
*Kathy passed away in July
*I spent 51 days in the hospital 44 in January and February and 7 in July.
*John Cox started to go in the prison once or twice a month with Don through out the year when I couldn’t. PLEASE PRAY FOR JOHN AS HE HAD SHOULDER SURGERY LAST WEEK. PRAY FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY. He is not able to go into the prison for a while and pray for his wife Pauline as she continues on and looks after him.
*Pray for Robert who took over with Don at the Salvation Army Overcomers after Kathy passed away, Robert has been in the hospital 3 times in the last month and is recovering at home. We are taking a break from the Salvation Army Overcomers until January then Don and I will start again January 8/19
*Don and I continue to go to Beaver Creek. We went weekly in October and November to train a couple of people to do the Overcomers when we are not there. We are now going to go two or three times a month depending on weather every other week. We rent a vehicle to go and we need Gods grace and mercy especially in the weather up north as rental vehicles have no snow tires. BUT GOD is AWESOME and PRAYER WORKS and He will keep safe doing what He has called us to do.
*We have had 33 graduates at the prisons this year which is encouraging.
*New City Church Overcomers in continuing with Charlie and Don with the men on Thursday and Marietta with the women.
*We had our local Overcomers get together at The Great Wall this year and we all had a great time. The other out of town groups are continuing on.
*By God’s wonderful planning Mission of Love for those alone on Christmas day will be at New City Church this year. God provided a Chef/baker to cook the entire dinner. How awesome is that. We are praying the Lord bring the people that it will be a wonderful blessing to and they will be encouraged and feel the Love of God.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND WE PRAY YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED 2019 AS YOU STAY FOCUSED ON JESUS. WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU AND ARE THANKFUL FOR ANY PRAYERS AND SUPPORT THAT THE LORD MAY HAVE PROVIDED THROUGH ANY OF YOU THIS PAST YEAR.
Lovingly Don & Judith McKay
See you Here there or in the air
