October 7, 2015
Hi Friends
I pray you are well in the Lord. I continue to pray for you.
We have been here just over two months and can you believe we haven’t even had time to completely unpack we have just been so active getting all the things changed that everyone has to do with every move.
Then all the doctors appointments, I went to see the surgeon about my hip on Sept. 28 and was told I need hip surgery. After all, I was told after the accident the replacement they gave me was good for 5-10 years so I guess I have done really good with pushing it to 14 + years. I was told I will have it in December or January unless an opening comes up sooner. It will be in Hamilton only a half an hour from here.
I go for a fibroscan this Thursday and get the results next Tuesday. I have been getting physio twice a week for my hip but that is finished now until after the hip surgery. Even with all this we are still able to serve the Lord and it is wonderful. Besides it keeps my mind off me when I focus on helping others. God is so good He can use you in what ever state you are in. Hallelujah!
We have been going to meetings and arranging Charles & Sharon’s visit which was from September 11-18 which included them speaking at the church, speaking at both prisons with a graduation there. Then the Overcomers graduation at New City Church where there were 125 people. Then a visit to Ark Aid Street Mission in London. We had altogether 24 graduates with all the groups. There was a bus load of Overcomers come from London. The church put together food for them. One of the guys that was to graduate from Ark Aid St. Mission Overcomers group was not able to attend as he was in the hospital in London so Charles, Don myself and Dan who Oversees the London groups went to the hospital and prayed with him and presented him with his Certificate. He was truly blessed.
Karl Burg and Ken Bates came from Goderich and Karl did music at the church, the prisons and the graduation. Thank you to everyone who helped. SEE PICTURES BELOW  Enjoy the pictures and rejoice with us what God is doing.
We have been training Tom and Gail to go into the prisons with us or for when we can’t make it, also they are a great help when they come with us. It is a 3 – 3 1/2 hour drive each way every Monday. Don drives up and Tom drives home. When just Don and I go we stay overnight as it is too much for Don to drive home. We usually leave our house at 8:30 am go meet Tom and Gail then head out. We stop for lunch then go into the prison for 2pm  and after both prisons we usually get back home around 11 – 12 pm and we are so excited in the Lord with what He is doing there.
Monday Tom, Don and I went and we had 55 men in the Medium and 20 in the Minimum, WOW 75 guys between both prisons! Praise the Lord. The chapel only holds 60. We have another graduation the middle of this month with 5 graduating and again the beginning of December with another 12 to graduate. Sept. 14 when we had the graduation at the prisons there were 61 men in the Medium and 30 in the Minimum. That’s a record. So far since we started going into the two prisons we have had 42 graduate the program. Thank you Jesus.
God answered prayer once again and I had my granddaughter with us for four days. Don and I were going to go to Niagara Falls for a couple of days as we had a free room and some food gift cards and free movies. Raven called me and asked if she could stay with us from Tuesday until Saturday and we told her we were going to Niagara Falls and asked if she would like to come and immediately she said sure. She had never been there. So we took her. We saw “WAR ROOM” together and went to Marineland and grandma here went on all the rides with her. We had a blast but my body was screaming at me the next day. I haven’t been on rides like that in over 20 years, it felt great to be a kid again.
I am trying to get month end and year end books and reports done and I haven’t even got my office unpacked totally yet and it looks like a storm in my office but I am working my way through it. Yea God!!!
Don is a trouper, being what he was nicked named at Samaria House in New Brunswick “chaffer, gofer dofer” and he enjoys it. He sure has a servants heart.
If anyone is lead of the Lord to partner with us and share in the rewards of what God is doing you may do so by clicking the link below or mailing it to the address below. Thank you.
MAY YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING THIS WEEKEND GIVING THANKS TO THE LORD FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE, IS DOING AND IS GOING TO DO.

Remember:

Heb 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Well that is our update for now.
Thank you for your prayers & support.
May the Lord keep you and bless you and make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

July 21/15

July 21/15
Hi Friends
I greet you all in the Name of Jesus our Lord & soon coming King.
Changes are on the horizon. We are moving a week tomorrow July 29 to Brantford, Ontario.
It is just as much a surprise to us as to you. But that is the way God seems to work with us.
Here is how it started. Around the end of May, I said to Don I have this strong urge to pack. We both thought if we would be moving it would be to Bracebridge or Gravenhurst closer to the prison ministry that we do, BUT GOD HAD ANOTHER PLAN. What that is we are  not sure, we will be continuing with Overcomers and raising up more leaders, and as always whatever else He wants.
Our new address and phone number are at the bottom of this e-mail.
TESTIMONY OF HOW THE MOVE CAME ABOUT
At our Board meeting on May the first I was telling the board about repairs the van needed. We had about $1200.00 worth of van repairs to be done at the dealer and one of my board members from Brantford said cancel the appointment Judy, my brother in law is a mechanic. Bring your van down to Brantford and let him look at it and you can stay at my sisters cottage at Braeside Camp in Paris for the week. We went to Brantford on May 13 – 17. When we got there he gave Don and I a map book and said here you will need this to find your way around. His brother in law fixed the van for $350.00. When we were leaving we went to give him back the map book and he said no you keep it you are moving here. I said that is either pathetic or prophetic.
When we got home Don decided if there is a possibility of us moving he would call U-haul and find out how much it would cost to rent a truck to move to Brantford. By the time he got off the phone he had a truck booked for July and we didn’t even know where and if we were going.
Then I said well I guess I better phone the housing and find out how much notice we would have to give to move out. We are in subsidized seniors housing.  I didn’t want to call our landlady as we did not know if we were moving. The lady told me 30 days and said she would e-mail me a form that when I was moving I would have to fill out. I waited an hour and a half, it didn’t come so I called her back and she said she had a call into my landlady. I didn’t want to talk to her. Anyway she called me shortly after and told me no! I needed to give 60 days notice and she would fill out the form and send it to me. I protested that we didn’t even know if we were moving and we didn’t have a place to move to, and besides I was going to New Brunswick for a conference and would not be back until June the 8 th. She said that is OK we will work with you and sent it and told me to sign it and leave it under her door. So I did. Now we had a truck and our notice given and didn’t know where we were going. Only God knew.
We were to go to one of our Overcomers wedding in Brantford on Saturday May 30 th  so I said to Don lets go down a day before and scope out some apartments. We found some listings on Kijiji and made some appointments. On the way down Don prayed. Father in the name of Jesus if you are moving us I want a place where I can have a dishwasher or at least double kitchen sinks and underground parking. I said if we are putting in request Daddy, when Don and I got married we became one and our plumbing goes off at the same time every time, I sure would like a second bathroom in Jesus name Amen. Thanks Dad.
When we got to Brantford Tom our Board member met us and drove us to the appointments. We pay $401. rent where we are now and the rent on the places we saw are a lot more. The first one was $1100.00 for a two bedroom. I started to say but God we can’t afford this but I never said it because I got a peace before the thought even came out of my mouth.  The second was $950.00 and you pay your utilities and the third one we saw we were filling out the application and the lady said oh you are looking for a two bedroom I don’t have any. I said do you have a three? She said yes. I asked how much and she told me $1085.00 including utilities and underground secured parking. Don said can  I have a dishwasher? She replied NO! He asked if they had double sinks and she said yes.  He said you have redeemed yourself. I asked if we could see it. She was going to show us one like what we were going to get if we were approved because the people were still in it and they had just given notice.
As she was walking down the hall to show us the apartment she turned around and said this one has two bathrooms. Talk about quick answer to prayer.
They are renovating the whole apartment. New carpet, new tiles, painting and new set of pull out drawers in the kitchen. Thank you Jesus.
They told us we would have to give a deposit. It was 5 pm on a Friday and our ODSP was not in. I told here I would come back tomorrow. We went to the wedding the next morning and between the wedding and reception we found a bank open and our cheque was in so we got the deposit and took it back to here after the reception. I asked if we didn’t get it would we get our deposit back and she said yes. That night we had to go to Mississauga for a meeting and the next morning we went back to Brantford to New City Church were we will be attending. They have two Overcomers groups there, one was started by Pastor Jeff Smith that we took through the Leadership Training back in October 2014 and the second was by Tom our Certified Instructor who was raised up through the group that Pastor Jeff started. Praise the Lord. That is how this whole thing started.   After the service we drove to Toronto to stay at a friends as we were flying out in the morning to Fredericton for the Conference. On the way to the airport we dropped the van at Park-N-Fly  and my cell phone rang. It was the apartment to tell us we got the apartment and could move in on July 30.
We are once again taking a huge step of faith.
We were down to Brantford at the Yes Church in June and were helping to feed the homeless a couple of Saturdays.
I also had to go back to Fredericton New Brunswick to the Funeral of Pastor Harold Jenkins who was the Vice President of Emmanuel Fellowship and will be greatly missed. He touched many peoples lives. God rest his soul.
FUTURE MINISTRY
We will God willing be continuing the Prison Ministry in Gravenhurst weekly that is 3 1/2 hours away. We are trusting for God’s provisions to get us there and provide for a motel room, gas, books etc. This is His ministry we are just the couriers. We are in the mist of training  up 3 other people to go in and share the ministry in the Prisons.
If the Lord is leading any of you to help this ministry fulfill what God has started  where many lives are being changed, you can send a tax receipted gift to the address below or donate by credit card or PayPal at this link.
Two weeks ago we had 41 guys in the Medium and 24 in the minimum.
We had Karl Berg and Ken who travels with Karl to cover him in prayer come with us to the prison to minister in Word and song. If you would like to hear his music and download it for FREE go to his link. He has 12 albums.  http://www.eagleswings.ca/ See picture below.
They also ministered at West Guilford Baptist Church and Sunday at our Seniors movie night at Park Lane apartments.
Charles and Sharon Burton Founders of Overcomers Recovery Support program will be coming to Canada to be with us from September 11 -17. On Sunday September 13 th they will share at the morning service and at the evening service will be a graduation of Overcomers from Brantford and London, at New City Church at 190 Lynden Rd. in Brantford. All  are Welcome. See picture below
Charles will have his new book with him, it is a children’s adventure book that will help them understand the dangers of addictive substances.
Then God willing they will come to both prisons on the Monday.then visit London Ark Aid Street Mission on  Wednesday or Thursday.
NEW OVERCOMERS GROUP STARTING
The new group is starting at the Why Not City Mission in Brantford on Thursday August 27 from 1-3 pm.
FUTURE OF MOI
MOI who started under Zechariah 4:6 Ministries in July 2012 will be moving over to West Guilford Baptist Church as of September 1st. Any funds sent for them will be forwarded to West Guilford for MOI ministry. MOI has been a blessing to the men of this community and will continue to carry on the work that Pastor Brian under the guidance of the Lord has done so far. Bless you Brian in your endeavors.

As far as my health, I am trusting the Lord. I am not out of here until God is finished with me and I will accomplish all that He has for me to do. Then to be absent from the body is present with the Lord. Yea God!

Those we are leaving in Haliburton. God bless you and we will miss you and continue to pray for you. But God willing He will guide us back to visit and share what God is doing.
Please feel free to e-mail or call we would love to hear from you.
God bless you all
See you here, there or in the air

Hi Friends
I greet you all in the Name of Jesus our Lord & soon coming King.

Psa 100:5

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations
So let us focus on Him and not what is going on around us. He will see us through everything as He said:

Isa 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
We have been actively about our Fathers business as He give us the strength and ability to continue on.
* April 14 Don & I attended the Volunteer Appreciation at Beaver Creek Minimum for the volunteers helping out at either or  both Institutions. We are at both. We received a lovely lapel pin that says Correctional Service Canada, Beaver Creek Institution, a Certificate of Appreciation and a beautiful stain glass candle made by one of the inmates signifying there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We were all thanked for the difference  we all as volunteers make by coming there. We then had coffee and cake.
* One of the men that had graduated the first Overcomers group at Beaver Creek Medium was transferred to Beaver Creek Minimum and again joined the Overcomers there.  As of April 15 he was released  to a half way house in Brantford and has followed up with the group in Brantford.
* As of April 18, 2015 it is seven years since Zechariah 4:6 Ministries Inc was registered and received it’s Charity status as of May 11 2009. Thank you Jesus. For it is “NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MIGHT SPIRIT SAYS THE LORD ALMIGHTY” AMEN! He has been and continues to be faithful in the ministry He leads us to accomplish for His glory. Thanks to all the faithful for prayers and support over the years.
* I postponed the surgery I was suppose to have on my hand on May 15 due to my recent diagnoses until after I find out more information. I went for more tests on Tuesday May 12 and now have to see a specialist in July, it would have been earlier but we will be in New Brunswick the first week in June. We are away in Brantford from then until after the long weekend.
* As of May 1st, we added another Board Member Tom Murphy to our team. Welcome Tom and also are adding Pastor Ray Narula who is Senior Pastor at New City Church  in Brantford as of May 16th and rejoice at his heart for outreach and Overcomers
* At our Seniors movie night on May 3rd, we celebrated Gerane Tyres Birthday see picture below. We have had movie night for 5 years now. Thank you Lord.
* We had another  Overcomers Graduation Class May 4 th, 2015, there were 19 suppose to graduate. John & Pauline came again to assist us with their music and stories. Thanks again, you two are a blessing and the guys love you.
Before Don & I handed out the certificates I prayed for the guys and told them If there were any who felt they had not completed the program properly with their book, chart and seeing the DVD’s to come to me and I will hold their certificates until they have. I said you may fool me & others but you can’t fool God. He knows if you have completed it or not. If you are just here to get a certificate, you can paper your walls with certificates but if you haven’t applied yourself it is not worth the paper it is printed on.  There were two guys who were honest about not finishing the program completely. Praise God for their honesty.
Read An inmate’s speech from one of the graduates below from May 4 grad.
John B. writes….
I would first like to thank both Don and Judy for their time and patience and more especially for all those tasty cookies!
I joined the program on the spur of the moment without any expectation at the time, thought I was eager and open to whatever I might learn from participating. I was also very interested in taking a program that was developed for the purpose of overcoming some of the more difficult issues of life from a faith based perspective, which up to this point in my 23 years of incarceration I had yet to see.
I personally decided in the first lesson I wanted to work on anxiety and depression. And although I still at times have struggles with these issues, I have made progress and have grown by putting into practice the teachings outlined in the program. The program has also helped me revitalize my commitment to God by reminding me of the indescribable power of His Word contained in the Bible. And though I have made a commitment to be a person of faith quite some time ago, I’m definitely at this point in my journey more grateful for the victories in my life.
I wanted to take that opportunity to also encourage everyone here to be steadfast in their commitment for change. Because I’m convinced  that anyone who is genuinely sincere about making a difference in their life will certainly do so after applying the principle of this program.
So if you truly want to experience meaningful satisfaction. Remember “Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened unto you, Ask and you shall receive” I wish everyone here success with overcoming the obstacles they face.
GODS LOVE CREATES BLESSINGS, BUT YOUR FAITH SCHEDULES THEM
